With so much time since my last blog posting one would hope that I have completed a large amount of work, unfortunately this is not the case. This is due to a couple of reasons but most of them are irrelevant to this project. The most important factor from all this is that my timeline is pretty shot. I must re-evaluate the work left to do and decide when I can complete this project with the resources I have. The one certainty from this is I will need additional man power to complete this in the desired time frame.

As for what I have completed, none of it can be displayed as a graphical image unless you like pictures of code or documentation. It is definitely easy to see how people can get carried away with the design aspect of even the smallest project if they are not mindful of a time frame. It’s also easy to see the benefit of having sufficient design and planning for even a tiny application. Often times I can see the holes in my design before I implement any classes, objects, or systems. All this has forced me to see the amount of work I must do to get a working application. Having at least a graphical framework will be more attractive to a prospective volunteer then just bits and pieces. I am very close to starting the graphical and audio modules which are the final two pieces of the framework. Once this is established I can finally begin to focus on the world of Magical Mayhem. Until then, I will keep my progress posted much more frequently, this I promise.
